Experience the Music, Culture and Treats of New Orleans!
Our host this time around is good friend and renowned Thomas Keller trained Chef, Joshua Schwartz of Travel Creel Hospitality. We’ll have an epic house in the city as our home base, and we are paired up with some of the best guides on the bayou for another epic adventure in the marsh!
Each morning coffee and breakfast will be prepared prior to the shuttle to the boat ramp(about 40 minutes). Your guides will be at the dock ready to take you on a brisk boat ride to find feeding Redfish, Black Drum, and other Bayou critters. Its a hunters game as you cruise the muddy banks looking for a tailing fish or a cruiser looking for their next meal. Makes sure you see the fish before you make your cast! Throw your fly on their back and all you will see is a cloud of mud as they spook out. But don’t worry there is another willing eater just around the next bend.
When you get back to the dock our shuttle vehicles will be waiting stocked with beers, waters and snacks for your ride back to the city. Back at the house, get cleaned up because the Creel Crew will have a delicious dinner ready for you to enjoy.
End the evening with a stroll through the historic French Quarter or local live music on Frenchman’s St. This experience is the best of both worlds. Be forewarned, if you are too hung over to fish you will still need to pay your guide! So take it slow Y’all.
