I’m excited to announce I’ll be road tripping through Southern California this February. My week and a half trip will include seven different fly clubs in the area.
I’ll be showing my popular Truckee River: A Guides Perspective, presentation.
Also known as the “Trickie”, this talk will focus on one of the best freestone rivers in the west, known for it’s challenging, yet potentially huge, wild rainbows and browns.
The main topics will include locations, seasons, flies, techniques and, of course, the fish!
Here’s a list of each fly club and their date. Please check out your local fly clubs website for exact time. Each one is open to the public. I hope to see you there!

Hello Matt! I fished the Tiber River last week. Beautiful and tough catching. At least that day.
Where is Golden State SD?
